Emma Kok gets her own tulip
On Wednesday, January 14, Emma Kok had the honor of naming a new tulip after herself. Emma is incredibly honored. 'I've always thought tulips were beautiful flowers.' Emma is now the latest in a long line of famous Dutch people, from William of Orange and Anne Frank to André van Duin, who have had tulips named after them.
Max Verstappen also received this honor earlier, and André Rieu even has a tulip and a rose named after him. The tulip comes at a special moment in Emma's career. Emma is on the eve of her very first theater tour, “Never Lose Hope.” The flower is purple-pink, exactly the color of her tour promotion.
